Open House Memorial Held for Samantha Koenig

An open-house memorial was held for 18-year-old Samantha Koenig at Legacy Funeral Homes prior to the celebration of Samantha's life at West High School Sunday..
The chapel at the funeral home was decorated with collages of photos of Samantha through the years.
"It’s been very open and a hard puzzle to find just because of the whole abduction. It’s sad, but I’m glad there's a closure to it now,” said Latisha Keys, a friend of Koenig.
A celebration of Samantha’s life was held Sunday afternoon in the auditorium at West High School.
