ANCHORAGE - It has been 12 days since 18-year-old Samantha Koenig was abducted from her Midtown coffee stand. The Anchorage Police Department said they have interviewed dozens of people. APD will not release information about whether or not there were eyewitnesses the night Koenig went missing. Koenig was abducted at 8 p.m. on February 1, 2012 from the Common Grounds Espresso coffee stand. Police hope to speak with anyone who was in the area, near the coffee stand on Tudor, between the hours of 7 and 9 p.m. “We're very hopeful that we'll be able to solve this case soon,” said APD Lieutenant Dave Parker. “They are getting leads in continually. We know that there are a lot of people moving in and out of that parking lot. We even see some vehicles moving in the video, from the little coffee shack. So we would like anybody who was in that parking lot to please get ahold of APD if you have not already gotten ahold of us." Parker said the department is not releasing the security video of the abduction out of concern that evidence on the tape would taint the prospective jury trial for the kidnapper. The reward for information leading to Samantha's discovery is now above $60,000, according to her father. Michelle Tasker, a Koenig family friend, is urging people to refrain from passing on rumors. The police and family will be the first to know if and when Koenig is found. They will then notify the concerned public. Samantha's father, James Koenig, has set up a P.O.
