Meeka: Sweet and Talented Pit Bull Mix

Every week KTVA CBS 11 goes down to the Anchorage Animal Care & Control to meet and showcase our pet of the week.

For me this has been quite the experience since I’m not too familiar with pets in general.

Last week we brought you Daizy, the kitty you will go crazy for. Well, this time I wanted to experience what you all call a “woman's best friend”…no not shoes, but a pup.

Meet Meeka. She’s a four-year-old spayed pit bull mix. She is known already as friendly and affectionate, and loves her toys.

Brooke Taylor of Anchorage Animal Care & Control says Meeka already knows commands, such as “sit,” “down,” and “drop it.” Meeka has quite the playful side, however, she also has a very calm and content quality about her.

Meeka is one amazing and adorable pet! She can be adopted for $72 as she is already spayed. The price of adoption includes her Municipality of Anchorage license, vaccinations and microchip.
