The airport has a new police and fire chief, Jesse Davis. From the Department of Transportation & Public Facilities' press release:

Chief Davis has over 15 years experience with the department and actively served as an instructor in all three of the police, fire, and medical disciplines. He also served as the Department Training Sergeant maintaining accountability for local, state, and federal records and requirements for all 70 members of the department. In addition, Chief Davis was a project manager for the airport’s triennial disaster exercise, and maintains numerous additional duties within the department.

Prior to joining the airport team, Chief Davis served in the US Air Force as a B-52 Navigator and Bombardier during the Gulf War, and was the Executive Officer and Assistant Professor for the ROTC program at Washington State University and University of Idaho. Chief Davis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Physics from Oregon State University, and a Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University.

“Our search for the new Chief of Police and Fire for the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport extended nationwide and beyond,” stated John Parrott. “I’m delighted to say that after all that, we found that the most qualified individual was right here. This fact speaks volumes as to the quality and depth of our Police and Fire Department.”
