Suspected Drug House Boarded UpTwo arrested
A suspected drug house in West Anchorage has now been boarded up.
According to Anchorage police, nearby residents say the house on West 67th Avenue was a hotbed of drug activity, and a neighborhood nuisance. Officers with APD's Community Action Policing team say they've gotten numerous complaints about that same house, complaints that date back to 2007. When police finally vacated the house, they say the home was uninhabitable. They found rotten food, dirty syringes and drug paraphernalia. According to Officer Nate Mitchell, "The power utilities had been shut off; they were heating the house with candles and an extension cord running from the neighbor's house to heat space heaters downstairs and they were running the stove to heat the house." Two people were in the home at the time police began boarding it up. They were arrested - one charged with drug possession, and the other faces child neglect charges. Police say the child living at the home was taken into custody by Office of Children's Services a few weeks ago. |

Whats with all the crime, drugs, child perversion, robberies in Anchorage. Whwn we arrived in the early 70s, we had no such crime wave. Why don't the cops shoot to kill anyone running from a crime scene, caught in a crime scene, doing dope, selling dope, and the list goes on. UNTIL you get tough on these low life gutter rats, the crime rate won't drop. GIve the tax payer a break, shoot to kill, like the do in Africa, China and someof the other Intelligent countries.
