Brenda Burge was fired from her position at Chugiak High School in March this year after the school district discovered money missing. It turned out Burge had allegedly taken nearly $75,000 over the course of four years.

Burge spent Friday afternoon in the Palmer courthouse. She’s charged with first-degree theft, scheming to defraud and falsifying business records – all felonies.
