An Anchorage man has been arrested in Oregon on charges of molesting two young children while working as a caregiver for special needs families.

Jacob James Miller is now awaiting extradition from Oregon to Alaska on charges that he sexually abused two children while employed as a caregiver with Focus, Inc., which is a family outreach center for understanding special needs in Anchorage.

Miller faces three counts of 1st degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor and two counts of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

Officers from the Elgin Police Department arrested Miller just before 4 p.m. Tuesday after a detective from the Anchorage Police Department Crimes Against Children Unit, determined that Miller had allegedly sexually touched a 6-year-old and made both the 6 and a 7-year-old sexually touch him.

Anchorage Police officials say they are still investigating the case and are concerned there may be more victims.

They are asking anyone with additional information to call the Anchorage Police Department at 907-786-8900 and ask for the Crimes Against Children Unit.
