Sentencing began today for an Anchorage man who kidnapped, strangled and raped his ex-wife in 2009.

John Brian Herring, 42, pled guilty last year to one count of first degree sexual assault as part of plea agreement with the state.

It is sad that a great person like him finds himself in these shoes. It makes you wonder just what his exwife did and put him through. Maybe the wrong person is on trail in this case.
