The cold temperatures didn’t stop dozens of Anchorage residents from joining a nationwide vigil for pancreatic cancer victims. More than 50 vigils took place across the country. Candles were supposed to be used, but because of the cold weather they used glow sticks instead. It’s a small vigil, advocates say, to help shed light on this deadly disease.
