Perfect Little Apartment DogsThis mother-son family is looking for a new forever home with you! Quiet and kennel-trained, Missy and Little Man may just be the four-legged additions you’ve been looking for.
KTVA has a double dose of doggies is this week’s Pet of the Week segment. And these two dogs aren’t just best friends, they’re family!
Meet Missy and her son Little Man. Little Man is actually the bigger one of the two; he's 7 years old and Missy is 9. These two dachshund mixes are very friendly, outgoing and get along well with other animals and older children. They came to the shelter after they were surrendered by their owner, and Anchorage Animal Care and Control shelter workers hope this little family can share the same forever home. “Adopting an adult dog really gives them a second chance,” said Matise, a volunteer at Anchorage Animal Control. She said that little dogs can live up to 15 to 20 human years, so Missy and Little Man are more like middle-aged dogs. Already house-trained, kennel-trained and very quiet, they would be great for a house or an apartment. They're both also very interested in learning and working for treats, and with a little bit of training, these dogs could easily learn some new tricks. Missy and Little Man are each $57 to adopt and both have been altered and are ready to go home today! |
