ANCHORAGE - Inspired by the Spider-Man reboot?

You can do your own web-slinging for a charitable cause Friday.

The Anchorage YMCA is holding its second annual 'Over the Edge' event, allowing participants who raise $1,500 to rappel off the JL Tower in Midtown.

CBS 11's Kirsten Swann was among the media people taking the drop Thursday.

The 'Y' contracted with a Canadian company to conduct the event.

"Anyone can do this. If you don't rappel, if you're scared of heights, you can do this. You just get geared up and go down," said Taryn Perez of the Anchorage YMCA.
