April is National Donate Life Month and groups of organ donors and recipients gathered at the Hotel Captain Cook to appreciate the life they've been given.

With more than 100,000 people on the national organ donor list, families say receiving an organ is more than a donation—it’s a gift of life.

If you are interested in becoming an organ donor, there are a few ways to sign up: When you obtain your new Alaska driver's license or register online at www.alaskadonorregistry.org.
