ANCHORAGE - In these tough economic times, finding an affordable place to live in Anchorage can be difficult – especially when you are on a fixed income or have a disability.
But a new housing project built by the non-profit Neighborworks aims to change that.
CBS 11's photojournalist Jacob Curtis let the people involved and the sights and sounds of an Anchorage grand opening tell the tale of how even small new housing units can make a big difference.
The Spenard "Roosevelt" housing was made possible through Neighborworks by a $2.3 million grant from the federal Housing and Urban Development agency.
