Anchorage Police say they need the public's help in figuring out how a man ended up severely burned in a shed in Spenard Monday afternoon.

Officers were called to an abandoned mobile home on the 900 block of Chugach Way around 2:30 Monday afternoon.

When they arrived, they found 51-year-old Carl Nashookpuk in a shed, severely burned.

Nashookpuk was unable to talk to officers about what happened to him.

Nashookpuk was taken to the hospital, where he is currently recovering.

Detectives from the APD/Robbery Assault unit are currently investigating how Nashookpuk ended up with the burns.
