Misshapen Bra Leads to Drug Bust

FAIRBANKS - Two people were arrested Tuesday night after local and federal law enforcement observed a potential methamphetamine deal on Wembley Avenue.

Dale Albert Homan, 41, of Fairbanks, and Elizabeth Patricia McDaniel, 36, of North Pole, have each been charged with one count of third-degree drugs misconduct, a class B felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
 
U.S. Marshals and the Drug Enforcement Agency were casing the Sourdough Fuel parking lot after receiving information about a possible drug deal. Homan and McDaniel's truck was pulled over after authorities saw a Nissan Xterra pull up next to them and engage in suspicious behavior, according to a criminal complaint filed in court.
 
No drugs were found in Homan's truck, but he was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Agents found about one-tenth a gram of meth and 10-inch bud of marijuana on him, court documents allege.
 
Male agents at first did not find any drugs on McDaniel, but noted that one cup of her bra appeared to be deformed.
 
A female officer from the University of Alaska Fairbanks police department was called to the scene, and the officer found a plastic container in McDaniel's bra, which contained more than one gram of meth, according to the complaint.
 
The driver of the Xterra told police he had met Homan there to buy $100 worth of meth but backed out of the deal at the last minute. Neither he nor his passenger was charged with any wrongdoing.
