Every Thursday KTVA CBS 11 heads down to Anchorage Animal Care & Control to meet our Pet of the Week.

This little guy’s name is Lucas.  He’s looking for someone to love him along with one of his most endearing qualities: being easily distracted.

But don’t worry--it's a good thing.

Lucas offers a unique combination of cuddly shyness with spunky outgoing personality.

"Lucas is a real playful guy. He likes to get into things and explore, but clearly he also enjoys the attention and part of that is being a younger cat--they need play time and interaction,” said Brooke Taylor of Anchorage Animal Care & Control.

He’s a sucker for little mice toys and is sure to get plenty of exercise, and a laugh or two out of you, chasing them around the house. 

Plus, you’ll never meet a more thoughtful kitty. As much as he loves the laser, he still doesn't mind taking some time to share it with a friend. Warning: You may experience cuteness overload.

Lucas is already neutered and is only $62 to adopt, which includes his vaccinations and microchip.
