ANCHORAGE - Two sisters are bringing their sense of style to the great land with high quality designs. With an exclusive name like MAJ, the sisters are bringing the high fashion to the last frontier. "There not a lot of options a lot of girls will go to prom and see the a girl in the same dress, says MAJ designer Jamie Johnson.

Jamie Johnson, who designs their clothing, and June Garner, who handles the business side, started MAJ out of Jamie's home five years ago. Jamie says, "I had clients coming in and out of our house all day and everyday."

Since then they've been successful they opened this store off of Huffman. Inside you'll find a few dresses they are currently working on. Jamie, who is self-taught, says that for her persistence paid off to help make her dream come true, but it has taken her a really long time to get to this point, so just don't give up if it's really what you want.

Now the sisters are using their skills to give other women what they really desire: a one of a kind look. They still have one goal they'd like to achieve: "to have a dress on the red carpet, that would be really big," said Jamie.

But until they get there they'll use their talents to make Alaskans feel like stars.
