ANCHORAGE - Even though it was a little snowy Saturday, it didn't stop kids from getting out and hunting Easter eggs.

Kids were bouncing into spring with Kincaid Outdoor Center's annual Eggstravaganza.

Hundreds of Easter eggs were hidden in the stadium for kids to find.

The hunts were divided into three different age groups.

In addition to hunting eggs, the kids also got to participate in a snow-building contest, frozen hula-hoop contest, bunny-hop games, and arts and crafts.

Organizers say the snow didn't put a damper on the day.

“They're having a great time and the snow kind of adds to it as well. A truly Alaskan eggstravaganza… hahaha,” recreation supervisor Teri Desy laughed.

The kids at the event even got a visit from the Easter bunny while they were out on their hunt.
