Hunger Action Month Delivers Food to NeedyWednesday CBS 11 photojournalist Jacob Curtis rode along as volunteers with Fellowship in Serving HumanityANCHORAGE - September is Hunger Action Month and for the last three weeks we have been highlighting the agencies teaming up to fight hunger in Anchorage. Wednesday CBS 11 photojournalist Jacob Curtis rode along as volunteers with Fellowship in Serving Humanity made their rounds delivering free food to people in need. F.I.S.H. is an Anchorage faith-based non-profit that's been feeding the community since 1967. Volunteers travel to all parts of the city filling in the gaps, so no one family that reaches out has to go hungry. F.I.S.H. always needs volunteers. With winter coming up, making those deliveries will become even more of a critical service. |
