We’ll see some in-state rivalry this Sunday when Anchorage and Fairbanks police and firefighters face off for the annual Guns N’ Hoses hockey game. The charity event is being held at Sullivan Arena and Friday Team Anchorage was on the ice sharpening their skills.

This year’s proceeds go to the Scotty Gomez Foundation, which helps give kids in Alaska the opportunity to play hockey. There is also a $10,000 first prize raffle being drawn Sunday.

The Anchorage team captain says both sides are evenly matched and it will be a battle to see who’s best. There’ll be plenty of entertainment starting at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with displays and demonstrations by the fire department and police SWAT and K-9 teams.
