Florida authorities are on the lookout for former Alaskan businessman Bill Weimar.

He served time for public corruption charges and now he's wanted for a child sex charge.

According to warrant information posted on the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office website, the alleged victim was under 12 years old. The arrest warrant for Weimar was issued less than one week ago.

In August 2008, Weimar pleaded guilty to two counts of bribery and conspiracy for funneling $20,000 to a political candidate who would support Weimar's private prison business.

Weimar once owned Alaska's only network of privately run halfway houses.
