Every week KTVA CBS 11 goes down to Anchorage Animal Care and Control to meet our Pet of the Week and this week it is one curious cat.

Is she inquisitive? yep. Exploratory? you bet. Aptly named? that too.

Meet Columbus—an adult female cat that is very active (and interactive!) and renown for her amazing hide and seek skills, and the occasional sneak attack.

“Cats are very good at finding little spots to hide in,” said Brooke Taylor of Anchorage Animal Care and Control, and this gal is no exception.

“I feel like I'd find her in a box of cereal, or somewhere you'd never expect to look,” laughed Eric Snitil, KTVA CBS 11’s morning meteorologist.

Wherever she is, Columbus will search out every nook and cranny. But for now, all she needs to discover is a new home.

Columbus is $142 to adopt and that includes her spay surgery, vaccinations and microchip.
