Fatal Collision on Knik-Goose Bay Road; 1 Fatality, 3 Injured

The crash was reported at 11:15 a.m. and is currently being investigated by the Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol.

A fatal collision this morning at Mile 11 of Knik-Goose Bay Road in Wasilla has closed down KGB until an on-scene investigation is completed.  

The crash was reported at 11:15 a.m. and is currently being investigated by the Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol.   
 
One person has died and three others have escaped with injuries from the collision. 
 
Troopers say two of the injured persons were life-flighted from the scene and the third was transported from the scene by ambulance.  The names of individuals involved have not been released and the extents of the survivors' injuries are unknown at this time. 
 
Drivers should expect to be rerouted through residential areas until the on-scene investigation is complete, according to Troopers.
