Elderly Woman Killed in House Fire

While responding to a house fire in south Anchorage this afternoon, police and fire units found the body of a 92-year-old woman in the home’s lower level.

While responding to a house fire in south Anchorage this afternoon, police and fire units found the body of a 92-year-old woman in the home’s lower level.

Susie O. Revia Williams lived on the 11200 block of Avion Street with other relatives.

Police say she was apparently unable to escape the fire and have not yet announced the cause of the blaze, however, they do say foul play is not suspected. Next of kin has been notified.
