ANCHORAGE, Alaska-It began with a traffic stop on Tudor and ended with a partially naked man in Waldron Lake refusing to be rescued.

It started Wednesday evening around 8 p.m. when Anchorage Police tried to pull over a Subaru that was allegedly speeding through a construction zone.

Police say the driver, 29-year-old Joshua Ellis, took off but was eventually stopped near Waldron Lake where police say Ellis jumped into the lake, then jumped out, and then jumped back in where he stayed for 15 minutes.

Ellis removed his shoes, shirt and pants all the while refusing to be rescued.

After crews successfully fished Ellis out of the water, he was arrested for resisting arrest, eluding, driving under the influence and giving a fake name. Ellis was the next day and is being held on $5,000 bail.

The police should have left him in the lake, until the misquitoes ate him up.Or until the idiot got hypothermia. He will probably be an on going problem,if he drinks.
