The theme of the 2011 conference is "Great Land, Great Neighborhoods."  Volunteers and community leaders along with partnerships will be working together to strengthen neighborhoods across the country.

Tige Watts, president of Neighborhoods USA said, “No matter who you are west coast, east coast, north or south. I think we all agree that the one thing that's prevalent and that is people have to work together to improve their communities and make life better for everybody."

The conference runs until Saturday and will end with an awards luncheon at the Egan Center.  U.S. Senator Mark Begich will give closing remarks.
