The Alaska State Fair may be several months away, but at least you can buy your tickets to fair’s main musical event—the AT&T Concert Series.

Here are the musical acts confirmed to perform at the Borealis Theatre on the fairgrounds in Palmer, Alaska.

All descriptions of entertainers, show times and ticket information provided by the Alaska State Fair.

Queensrÿche
Thursday, August 25

During Queensrÿche’s 30-year career, the progressive heavy metal band has released 11 studio albums, including the triple-platinum album Empire, the platinum-certified Operation: Mindcrime, and the 2009 release American Soldier. The Washington-based group has also spawned songs like the Top 10 single “Silent Lucidity,” as well as hits like “I am I,” “Bridge,” “Jet City Woman” and “Unafraid.” Queensrÿche is currently working on its 12th album, tentatively scheduled for a spring 2011 release. Show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 for general admission, and $45 for reserved seating. Fair admission additional. Please note there is no seating at this concert.

 

Chevelle
Friday, August 26

Since forming in 1995, Chevelle has produced five albums and sold more than 3 million, including the platinum-certified Wonder What’s Next. With a sound likened to Tool, the alternative rock trio from Chicago, Ill. is known for hard-rocking, yet melodic, songs including “I Get It,” “Well Enough Alone,” “The Red” and “Send the Pain Below,” and has toured with the likes of Audioslave, Disturbed, Evanescence and Finger Eleven. Show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35 for general admission, and $50 for reserved seating. Fair admission additional.

 

Craig Morgan
Saturday, August 27

With a “stout voice” and an “unblushingly sentimental” style, country superstar Craig Morgan has become known for radio hits including the Top 10 “Little Bit of Life,” “Bonfire” and “International Harvester,” as well as the 2005 most-played country song “That’s What I Love About Sundays.” And his newsest single, “Still A Little Chicken Left on That Bone.”  The Tennessee-based singer-songwriter has been twice nominated as Top New Male Vocalist, and was also inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 for general admission, and $45 for reserved seating. Fair admission additional.

Foghat
Monday, August 29

Foghat started in 1971 as a bunch of “unpretentious young Brits with an affection for American blues and ‘50s rock ‘n roll.” During the next four decades, the group evolved into a major touring and recording act, releasing more than two dozen albums, many of which went gold, platinum and even double platinum. With a style ranging from blues to R&B to boogie-rock, Foghat has been pleasing fans for 40 years with hits like “Slow Ride,” “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” “What a Shame,” “Drivin’ Wheel” and “Stone Blue.” Show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for general admission, and $25 for reserved seating. Fair admission additional.
