      Members of the Alaska Fish Board began their final day of deliberations on several proposals to change local regulations.

     Late Thursday, members rejected a proposal to limit the number of red salmon that could be taken by Kenai River dipnetters from 25 to 10. Commercial fishermen say the dipnetters trash the beach area and damage the mouth of the river, but a slew of other cutbacks proposed for personal-use dipnetters were also rejected by the board after days of testimony. 
     Among today's items were a proposal to restore a three-fish limit for the Susitna River, a proposal to allow one king salmon to be taken per person in the Beluga Fishery, and a proposal to prevent people from taking silvers out of the water before releasing them anywhere in South Central.
