A Wasilla distillery is testing the waters with a hemp-flavored vodka released today.
Alaska distillery released the new flavor today in 28 states - to a lot of fanfare.
The company has made national headlines before with its smoked salmon flavored vodka.
According to Bella Coley, the distillery's chief operating officer - the hemp product, called, "purgatory" contains non-germinated seeds, and therefore no THC - the chemical in marijuana that creates a high.
It is certified narcotic-free by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
The vodka - which is said to have a mellow, nutty, and slightly sweet flavor, was named the " hot, new, now” product - a title given to only one brand per year by the wine and spirits wholesalers association.
