A Wasilla distillery is testing the waters with a hemp-flavored vodka released today.

Alaska distillery released the new flavor today in 28 states - to a lot of fanfare.

The company has made national headlines before with its smoked salmon flavored vodka.

According to Bella Coley, the distillery's chief operating officer - the hemp product, called, "purgatory" contains non-germinated seeds, and therefore no THC - the chemical in marijuana that creates a high.

It is certified narcotic-free by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The vodka - which is said to have a mellow, nutty, and slightly sweet flavor, was named the " hot, new, now” product - a title given to only one brand per year by the wine and spirits wholesalers association.

well I guess when DEA finds seeds they can now stuff it cuz by their own admission they are NON NARCOTIC so all those who got in trouble for having them I would fight it and I am not even a consumer of it.

Remember when this was a state called Alaska and people were cool with just about anything as long as you mined your own business.A little weed as far as I know has never hurt anyone.Any cop will tell you they would rather deal with a stoner than a drunk.I know this is a little off the subject but you don't get the chance to to vent about making weed legal.Even medical marijuana would do.
