82-Year-Old is a Lesson in Staying ActiveDora Archer works at keeping up a busy lifestyleANCHORAGE - At first glance Dora Archer’s room may seem a bit busy, but that’s the way she likes it. It’s where her treasures are, including pieces of her own artwork. At 82-years-old, Archer is a widow, mother and grandma. “I like to do crafts, I like to paint, like to crochet, play cards,” she said. Archer spends a part of every day checking in on others. She says she enjoys the company in return. “I like people and I like to talk, I like to listen; I’ve got big shoulders,” she said. Her friends say she's made such a difference that they nominated her for an award. But for her, it's just part of a daily routine. |
