The Alaska Women's Hall of Fame inducted 13 more Alaskan women Thursday.

The organization hosted its third annual hall of fame event at the Loussac Library to honor the achievements of women across the state.

Community members nominated 13 women this year who influenced life in Alaska ranging from artists to volunteers.

“They are doctors, they are educators, they are people who have been critically engaged such as Lanie Fleischer who did help us with the bike trails...people who have volunteered their time, journalists, artists...woman who have contributed to their communities,” said Jane Anvik of the Alaska Women's Hall of Fame.

The Alaska Women's Hall of Fame has inducted more than 50 women since it began in 2008.
