Zombie King Invites Pirates, the Undead to Fitness Festival

They said it would never happen, but a truce has been called between the zombie horde and marauding pirates. And to celebrate, the parties will hold a half marathon and fitness festival.

They said it would never happen, but a truce has been called between the zombie horde and marauding pirates. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the two have decided to hold a fitness festival/half marathon Saturday, Oct. 1.

The zombie king, formerly known as Mike Halko, is also the race director and explains why the warring parties have signed a truce in the name of fitness.

This is a community event intended to be fun and raise money for a great cause. It's "news" since people want to know what's going in the community. Look at the most popular column; top of the list is a major restaurant chain is coming to town. That's news too since that's what's going on in town.
