The animal control officer issued Zellmer a citation for failing to properly register his dog. As for what happened to the officers, Zellmer said police told him they would be “retrained,” but police declined to comment on specific personnel matters.
Both Hsieh and Mittman said if an officer comes to your door, cooperate fully—even if it appears the officer is in the wrong—record the interaction and then file a complaint.

The APD came to my door demanded to come into my home to find my sister who went to church to pray. They were five or six cop cars in front of my home and demanded to find my sister w/o a search warrant. those cops were very demanding and freak out cuz my military id did not have my SSN on it. Do you have weapons? Why do they need that info? I said, "Military id cards do not have ssn to prevent id theft." The police officer with a bullet proof vest diagnosed me by saying, "wow you are having an anxiety attack?" Who would not respond to the cops barging into someone's home w/o a search warrant. What if my sister showed up? What would have happened? They arrest and police brutality at its finest her cuz she is filipino. They said, "Everybody who is not white is a terrorist in the recording."

That's just great. Anchorage Police Department Officer Hsieh admits openly that they train their officers to violate the United States Constitution. That makes them traitors. There will come a day there will be retribution for the overthrow of our once great Constitutional Republic. Anchorage Police are evil, and so are the courts. Study and practice Jury Nullification. Police want to ruin your life, if they can. Try to return the favor.

A little back story. Our one year old puppy was having problems making it all the way down the three floors of steps in -20 degree weather, but if fix problem by adding covering on the decking that I left it there until we sold the property. The police only came months after the event in question.

Anyone that lets their pets pee or deficate on a deck in an apartment they are renting, should be evicted.If they want to live like the field animals, let them go into the woods and live in a tent or cave.Not only is this unsanitary for the people below, its a nasty all around disgusting chance that it could spread desease. Especially if the fools that own the pets, allow this, you figure they probably don't even get the dog his proper vaccinations..The humane society should take away the pet, actually the owner would be nice. Lock him in a cage.

I had a similar excuse used for the cops coming into my home. "Sir, you're not going to go in the house where you have access to a weapon without us going with you. It's that simple." I would like to know the correct response to this type of behavior.

The State prosecutor acts with impunity in every plea bargain by use of coersion. Just my opinion based on every interation I've had with the law.

Unreal! YET ANOTHER COMPLAINT FOR APD! BUT APD CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE GANGBANGERS?!?! I love the line "cooperate fully, even if it appears the officer is in the wrong" Definitely time to organize and protest to fix a lot of problems in this city!

That's great, record people stomping all over your rights, then complain about it. I see the only real fix here is to make more laws and give police more power. This guy and his springer spaniel is clearly a threat to society. I think a great title for this story is "pissing match". All three groups got there back up, and all three look like idiots. The only person that won is the person complaining about getting peed on. Dude, sounds like you should take your dog outside, off the porch... you're pissing off your downstairs neighbor, I don't care if you think it's your "right" people don't like it. example, the cops raining on your parade.
