Meet the newest member of Sick Puppies

By Daybreak Staff 10:51 AM April 6, 2016
ANCHORAGE –

The Sydney, Australia based rock band Sick Puppies are no stranger to Alaska. However, things have changed since the last time they visited the 49th state.

In 2014, the former lead singer parted ways from the band. Two years later, the Sick Puppies are kicking off their national tour right here in Alaska, with their newest frontman, Bryan Scott. Their new single “Stick to Your Guns,” is being played on radios across the country.

Wednesday, Emma Anzai, Mark Goodwin and Bryan Scott of Sick Puppies joined Daybreak to talk about their new sound and how their upcoming album is something people can relate to.

“I think overall it’s a theme of empowerment,” said Scott. “It’s a really strong album. The newest single ‘Stick to Your Guns’ is definitely something that individually and collectively we as a band share, in terms perseverance and just following a dream, something you want to accomplish, in our case, music.”

Sick Puppies’ newest album is set to be released sometime this spring.
