Martin Buser

Martin Buser was born is Switzerland and became interested in sled dog racing when he was a teen. He came to Alaska in 1979 and ran his first Iditarod in 1980. He received the Leonhard Seppala Award in 1988, 1993, 1995 and in 1997 for his humanitarian care of his dogs. Buser won the Iditarod in 2002.
