The confection included 15 pounds of brown sugar and cinnamon, six pounds of butter and 10 pounds of frosting.

ANCHORAGE – A local bakery celebrated its third anniversary with a 100-pound cinnamon roll Saturday morning.

The giant, sweet treat was constructed at the House of Bread using strips of standard-sized rolls. Roughly 80 pounds of dough was used in the confection, which included 15 pounds of brown sugar and cinnamon, six pounds of butter and 10 pounds of frosting.

“I’ve never heard of anybody else in Anchorage do a hundred-pound cinnamon roll,” said bakery owner John Baldiviez, who served slices of the roll to dozens of hungry customers Saturday.
