July 10 fishing report

Anchorage

  • Local lakes are good for rainbows and char.
  • Local streams are good for rainbows, but be sure to check regulations.
  • Ship Creek still closed to king fishing.

Mat-Su

  • Streams very good for rainbows, dolly varden and grayling.
  • Lakes are fishing good.

Kenai Peninsula

  • Russian River is very good for trout, but slow for red salmon.
  • Second run of Kenai River reds is beginning downriver, rainbows and dolly varden are slow to fair.

Homer

  • Halibut fishing is good.
  • Rockfish and lingcod fishing is good near Gore Point.
  • Halibut fishing is good in the Anchor River and Deep Creek Marine.

Seward

  • Halibut fishing is good.
  • Lingcod and rockfishing are good.
  • Some early salmon showing up near Pony Cove.

Whittier

  • Halibut fishing is good out near Montague Strait.
  • Lingcod and rockfishing are good.
