Tsunami Debris Washing Up in AlaskaFound on the Shores in KodiakA Kodiak man says he’s found debris from the Japanese tsunami washing up on the beaches. Dave Kubiak found seven white Styrofoam floats shaped like fifty-five gallon drums in late September. Kubiak then sent photos of the floats to retired oceanographer Curtis Ebbesmeyer. Ebbesmeyer says the floats are associated with oyster farms in Japan. Kubiak tell CBS 11 News he was surprised to see debris from the tsunami only nine months after the disaster. So far no personal effects have turned up. If they do authorities are asking they be turnes over to them. Oceanographers expect debris from the disaster to wash up on Pacific Ocean shores over the next few years. |

How cool it would be to find something, then reunite it back with someone in Japan.

Looks like the guy is touching it. Hey, dude, it came from a busted nuclear reactor. Might be a tad 'hot.'

Hey Alaska, have fun with the radiation you've been receiving since last March. Just look at your Seals suffering from radiation. Keep eating the seafood up there too. All of you will be dead in 5 years.

Right Tim?? Holy Hell!!!! I live in Alaska, I gave up eating seafood a while ago. I am screaming at the top of my lungs to Alaska authorities to TEST the AK seafood, but, as usual, they simply say... move along, nothing to see here... everthing is fine!!!

Cantcunow, if you are worried about radiation in your food, get a meter and measure it. You certainly don't have to be passive and let the State do everything for you. Be proactive. Be an adult rather than a socialist child. {^_^}
