The State of Alaska took suggestions on Wednesday on how to spend grant money to help develop a support industry for film and television production.
The legislature has appropriated nearly half a million dollars to train Alaskans.
During a teleconference, several people suggested investment in a major sound stage to aid film production. Others said the amount of money appropriated is too little.
Overall, there seems to be a consensus that a mix of funding is needed to create the greatest number of job opportunities for residents.
