State takes Input on Film MoneySupporters want studio builtThe State of Alaska took suggestions on Wednesday on how to spend grant money to help develop a support industry for film and television production. The legislature has appropriated nearly half a million dollars to train Alaskans. During a teleconference, several people suggested investment in a major sound stage to aid film production. Others said the amount of money appropriated is too little. Overall, there seems to be a consensus that a mix of funding is needed to create the greatest number of job opportunities for residents. |
