Social Media Shares Police Tactics

Anybody can buy a police scanner and hear the conversations between dispatchers and officers. Now that information is more accessible to Anchorage residents... courtesy of a man who follows the audio traffic and converts it into tweets.

I LOVE THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN ALL ITS FORMS!!!! good job scanner guy, keep it up! I believe most police in this country act like goverment thugs rather than civil servents, and i don't think i'm the only one who thinks that!

If this was the same exact broadcast I saw earlier, I feel better about it. I have had many people thank me for letting them know what was going on in their neighborhood, and in reality, if a bad guy buys a scanner, he will hear it anyhow, this probably helps APD to have reasons for the encrypted traffic- better officer safety- should have been available years ago for our guys out there on the line protecting us!! Great job yesterday APD!! Thanks KTVA for your interview!!

racist comments- stating the reported race of persons involved, white/balck/native/samoan... I dont think it is racist. I do encourage membership to pay for equipment I have invested. This hobby takes many hours to maintain. Thanks for your opinion mike.

AnchScanner dude often makes racists comments and rude speculation in his tweets, depending on the area, place or name involved in an incident. He's also a bit arrogant encourage folks who do comments in the ADV or TV sites that they heard it from him first. He forgot to mention that he has a website where he charges for membership where he provides recordings and such of past high profile happenings. So yeah, he has alternate motives besides what is shown in the interview.
