ANCHORAGE - Wednesday's snow and icy roads resulted in a collision which closed the inbound Glenn Highway for a while, and injured people including a pregnant woman, as well as a nine-car pileup on the northbound Seward Highway.

With driving conditions like this, Anchorage Police Department officers are kept busy helping stranded motorists or clearing traffic in accident situations. CBS 11's Kate McPherson went along with one APD officer who's there to help when road conditions deteriorate.

Weeding out the idiots? These people are here year round and year after year. They drie like they have to be somewhere 15 mins ago. Also they have insurance and look as if they are a deer in the headlights. And don't get me started on why I think cell phones are the worst thing known to man.
