Pick Click Give Donations

Many New Charities Looking for Help

Tools

By Katie Groller

Local Charities want to remind Alaskans to remember them when they file for their Permanent Fund Dividend checks.

This year there are four hundred and fourteen groups to choose from through the pick, click, give program. That’s about one hundred more than last year.

Among them the Bird Treatment and Learning Center, which rescues between six hundred and eight hundred birds, rehabilitates them, and releases them into the wild.

Last year Alaska Public Radio Stations took in the most money, with more than sixty-nine thousand dollars donated through pick, click, give.

Alaskans can start filing for their PFD on January 1st.

Four hundred & fourteen groups to donate to? In this economy and all the fraud, I would find it hard to give to anyone.Maybe the Salvation Army.I don't have enough money to take care of myself, and I get too many calls for donations.WHERE does the money really go? Whos pocket?

Where your money goes depends on who you donate to. They use a certain % for admin. fees.
