North Pole Man Admits Decades-Old Sexual Abuse

A North Pole man was charged Saturday with a series of child sexual abuse offenses that allegedly took place in the 1980s and 1990s.

FAIRBANKS — A North Pole man was charged Saturday with a series of child sexual abuse offenses that allegedly took place in the 1980s and 1990s.

Robert J. Williams, 57, of North Pole faces felony charges including sexual assault and sexual abuse of a minor.

The victims were girls between 3 and 14 years old and the abuse occurred on a regular basis, according to the criminal complaint against him.

The abuse was reported to Alaska State Troopers in April, and on Saturday, Williams admitted sexually abusing the victims, according to the criminal complaint.
