Low relative humidity and high winds are combining to create dangerous fire weather conditions across portions of state.

 
Red flag warnings are in place through the late evening from about 100 miles southeast of Fairbanks through parts of the eastern Alaskan Range.
 
The Copper River Basin and Matanuska Valley are also under red flag warnings.
 
According to the Alaska Fire Service, residents are urged to avoid burning in these areas.
 
Across the state, 125 fires have already burned nearly 1,000 acres so far this season.
