ANCHORAGE - A local non-profit agency is hoping to win big on Wednesday, with a little help from the public.

The child care referral agency called “thread” is a finalist in a national Facebook contest sponsored by Toyota. The prize for the top vote-getter is a brand new Toyota truck.

Thread says a new vehicle would help them hit the road and visit more families.

“It would allow us to get out on the road system and travel and visit more child care programs and outreach more families whether they are in Kenai or Soldotna or Fairbanks,” said thread’s Sarah Leonard. ”So yes, it would allow us to get the word out about how important early education is.”

The agency is asking for your vote on July 4th. If you’d like to help them win a new truck you can go to the Facebook page “100 Cars For Good” or click here.
The voting starts at 6 a.m. and runs till 8 p.m.
