KTVA Announces Programming Changes; End to Morning, Weekend Newscasts

Today, KTVA Channel 11 announced, effective immediately, it will be discontinuing its weekday morning and weekends newscasts. This news programming change has resulted in a reduction in staff across several departments at the station.

“These changes will allow us to address the market’s programming requirements as we continue to invest and expand into a local high definition station that truly reflects the needs of our viewers and our advertisers,” said General Manager Jerry Bever.

Bever added he does not anticipate there to be further staff reductions.
