Kenneth Towksjhea Jr., 20, faces charges of first-degree assault and robbery after attacking a homeless man in East Anchorage early this morning.
When they arrived at the scene in a trailer park on the 1001 block of Boniface Parkway shortly before 2 a.m, Anchorage police said they found the victim bleeding from multiple cuts to the head and broken facial bones.
Daniel Workman told responding officers he had been attacked by four young men on mountain bikes. A canine unit began tracking the suspects, and found Towksjhea Jr. in a nearby mobile home.
The three other suspects bolted out the back of a neighboring trailer in the same park, and the canine team tracked them to another mobile home.
One of the suspects, a juvenile, faces pending charges through the juvenile justice system. Police determined that two other suspects were only witnesses and had not been involved in the attack.
Towksjhea is being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday.
