NEW YORK - CBS took the wraps off its 2012 fall lineup. It includes four new series, and time slot changes for some of America’s most-watched shows. Ines Ferre went to New York’s Carnegie Hall for a peek at what you’ll be watching.
America’s most-watched network is adding four new shows this fall, including the Tuesday night crime drama “Vegas.”
The series is set in the 1960s. Dennis Quaid portrays real-life Sheriff Ralph Lamb as he fights a ruthless gangster, played by Michael Chiklis, for control of their city.
Another new drama with a lot of buzz is “Elementary.” Jonny Lee Miller plays a modern-day Sherlock Holmes fresh out of rehab. Lucy Liu is Doctor Watson – his sobriety coach.
On Friday nights there’s a new legal-drama called “Made in New Jersey.” Janet Montgomery plays a working-class jersey girl who brings her street smarts to a high-powered law firm.
CBS is shaking up its powerful lineup of comedies. “Two and a Half Men” and “The Big Bang Theory” are teaming up for a new Thursday night comedy block, and “Two Broke Girls” moves to Monday nights following the new sitcom “Partners.”
This new comedy is from the co-creators of “Will and Grace.” David Krumholtz and Michael Urie are architects: one straight and one gay.
In addition to the new shows, 19 of the network’s current hits are returning.
